Green Thumb, Inc. is an urban landscape design, installation, and maintenance company specializing in Native and Tropical Landscapes, antique rose gardens, tropical edibles, and interior plant-scaping.
We utilize environmentally friendly practices (earth-friendly and not harmful to the environment) as a fine gardening company that services clients with high standards and attention to detail.
We are looking to hire a Landscaper / Gardener with the following:
Available Full-time
A team player with a strong work ethic, and trustworthiness.
Career-minded, self-motivated, and highly dependable.
Eligible to work in the U.S.A. and must speak English. Bilingual a plus.
Hold a valid and clean driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Be punctual, and start the morning at our shop in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Qualifications:
+ Good verbal and written communication skills
+ Basic Plant Knowledge
+ Daily record keeping and organizational skills
The job requires the following regular skills and duties:
- Weeding, manual hedge trimming, pruning, and clean-up
- Sodding, lawn mowing, edging, weed eating, and leaf blowing
- Digging for planting, proper mulching, and also fertilizing techniques
- Hauling dirt, distribution of mulch, gravel, rocks, etc.
It’s a plus if you have the following experience:
+ Experience using and maintaining mechanical equipment including a lawnmower, chainsaw, and sod cutter, etc.
+ Including OSHA and BMP safety procedures and personal gear use
+ Knowledge of irrigation diagnostics, repairs, and alterations
+ There is occasional overtime if a job requires it
+ The Company will pay for training, certifications, and licensure after one year
